James Weatherley 

James graduated from The University of Brighton in 2005 and started Acorn Podiatry. Over the years he has built good relationships with his patient's as well as other local health professionals. He has a broad skill set ranging from general foot-care to diabetic assessment, foot pain diagnosis and verruca treatments.

Mara Ragaiolo

Mara graduated in podiatry from The University of Brighton in 2005 and joined our team in 2011. She has worked a combination of private and within the NHS where she has experience in treating a wide variety of foot complaints, including 'at risk' patients with issues such as ulceration. Mara works in clinic, offering services from medical pedicures to nail surgery and verruca needling. She also performs home visits for us treating our patient's in the comfort of their homes and also attends nursing homes; providing care to groups of residents, many of whom are vulnerable or disabled. She has a particular interest and is experienced in diabetic care.

Tuesday 8.30am - 5.30pm (home visits)

Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm (clinic)

Saturday 9.00am - 5.30pm (mixed clinical and home visits)


Howard Allen

Howard has been part of our team since 2013. He has worked predominately in the NHS since graduating from The University of Brighton in 2005. Over that time he has developed broad skills in all aspects of foot-care including 'nail surgery,' ulcer prevention and dressing, diabetic assessment, general care such as medical pedicures and treating the vulnerable. He works with our team both in clinic and performing home visits to many of our disabled or 'at risk' patients, many of whom are housebound.


Working Hours

Thursday 8.45am - 2.30pm (clinic)

Friday 9.20am - 2.20pm (clinic)


Ellie Deak

Ellie graduated in podiatry from The University of Brighton 2017. She has worked in the NHS predominantly in that time. As well as being a podiatrist she has been a clinical lead and been responsible for education podiatry students within the NHS. Ellie has experience in treating vulnerable patients, diabetic treatments, 'nail surgery,' wound care and general care. Ellie works both in our modern clinic and performs home visits,  treating our patient's in the comfort of their homes.

Tuesday 8.30am-5.15pm (mixed clinical and home visits)


Amanda Dalila

Amanda graduated in podiatry from The university of Brighton in 2017 and has worked for the most part in the NHS. She has developed skills in general care, providing services such as medical pedicures and has experience in performing minor operations such as 'nail surgery,' as well as treating vulnerable/at risk patients, offering wound care and prevention. Amanda works both in our modern clinic and performs home visits,  treating our patient's in the comfort of their homes.

Jake Stone

Jake graduated in 2023 at the University of Brighton. Unlike the rest of the team he completed his Degree training within the NHS. He works mostly for the NHS providing foot care in a wide variety of areas including general care, wound care and prevention, treating high risk and vulnerable patients. Jake works both in our modern clinic and performs home visits,  treating our patient's in the comfort of their homes.
